The Social Ministry Team's Chuck it in the Bucket recipient for October 2026 is The Big Easy Animal Rescue, a small non-profit organization in the Faubourg Marigny comprised entirely of dedicated volunteers. They specialize in aiding, rescuing, fostering, administering medical care, and showering neglected and abused animals with love.
While we collected pet items in September, we are collecting funds as this month is Adopt-a-Shelter Dog Month and National Animal Safety and Protection Month. Their twice-monthly Wellness Clinic provides budget-friendly, low-cost services to animals in need in the New Orleans community.
You can donate any time during the month by dropping your checks or cash in the chuck-it bucket found in the narthex or electronically by clicking HERE.
