Dear Grace family,

Over the last two months my family has gone through a very difficult time.

After receiving surgery my dad developed a serious infection.  As he was being treated for the infection he developed hospital delirium and the doctors were concerned about a number of neurological problems.  My dad was put on various drugs to try to treat these symptoms and ended up going to six different facilities.  Unfortunately all of these drugs and different hospital settings negatively impacted my dad's mental and physical health to the point where one of the doctors was advising hospice care.

After prayer and discussion with friends in the medical and pharmacy fields (including some Grace members) we decided to take my dad to a hospital where they would flush all the meds out of his system.  He received IV fluids and was returned to the medications he was taking prior to surgery.  Getting his meds back under control made a big difference and after about a week of fluids we were told that we could take my dad home.

When he returned home we saw immediate improvement!  My dad has been home for a little over a week now and is so much more like himself.  While he still has a ways to go in regaining his mental and physical strength we expect to see a full recovery!  We all feel like a miracle has happened!

Thank you so so much for your prayers!  They have made a world of difference to me and my family!  Thank you for your understanding and support as I needed to be in Cleveland so much over the last two months.  I truly cannot tell you all how much your love and compassion has meant to me as I needed to be with my family!

Thank you for your prayers!  Thank you for being Grace!

With God's love, Pastor Katie
