All are welcome!

New to Grace?  Not a problem! We love having visitors. Whether you are searching for a new church home or just curious, you are welcome at Grace!

We know that visiting a new church can be a huge step out of your comfort zone.  To help you feel more comfortable at Grace, we're providing some helpful information below, but if you have specific questions that we haven't addressed, feel free to email us at info@gracenola.org

Arrival FAQs
We are looking forward to meeting you!

What should I wear?

Our members wear everything from business casual to dressy attire.

When should I arrive?

Our Adult Bible Study begins at 8:45 AM and the worship service begins at 10:00 AM.  If you're attending worship only, we encourage you to arrive about 10 minutes before the service starts so we can welcome you and answer any questions you have.

Where should I park?

We have a parking lot behind the sanctuary by Louis XIV and Kenilworth Streets. The parking lot is large enough to accommodate everyone on most Sundays; however, if needed, there is parking available on the street on Kenilworth Street and also on Canal Boulevard in front of the sanctuary.

Worship FAQs

Where should I sit?

We do not have assigned seats so feel free to sit anywhere in our worship space.

How do I follow along with the service?

Everything you need for following along with worship will be on the screen in the front of the sanctuary.  If you are visually impared and would like us to provide you with a PDF copy of the slides that can be viewed on a tablet, please email us at coordinator@gracenola.org.

Is there a part of the service where members and guests actively participate?

Toward the beginning of worship, everyone is invited to stand and greet one another with handshakes, waves, or hugs. We call this time "Sharing of the Peace." Please know that you will not be singled out as a visitor and you are invited to participate in the "Peace" as you feel comfortable.

May I participate in Communion?

We welcome everyone to share in the meal of Communion, including kids. During communion, we have a gluten free option for the bread (just ask) and grape juice as a subsitute for wine.

What if I have another question?

Please feel free to ask those seated around you any additional questions you might have about the service.

Kid Friendly FAQs

Is there a children's message?

After the "Sharing of the Peace," the pastor will invite the children forward for the Children's Sermon.  Please encourage your child to come forward (parents/guardians are welcome to come up with their kids). We love having kids at Grace and we want them to feel welcome in worship. Don't stress if your kids get antsy during worship!  We do not mind at all.

Is there a safe place to give my child a break from worship?

We have a family room just outside of the sanctuary that has a clear glass window and a speaker so that you can still participate in worship while allowing your child a break, if needed.  You'll find toys, crayons, and kid's books in the room to entertain your child.
