The Social Outreach Ministry Team is responsible for coordinating much of the outreach work that Grace does. They manage the volunteer groups that house at Grace and work in the city, but they also schedule opportunities for Grace members to be involved. Previous efforts have included work at Habitat for Humanity, Ozanam Inn (a New Orleans homeless shelter), Lakeview Shepherd’s Center, and working to provide Christmas gifts for disadvantaged children. If you are interested in being a part of this board or have a suggestion for a project, please contact the chairperson,

We are also working with First Baptist of New Orleans to work on the "Fuel the Future Feed a Child" program. Grace is collecting food to contribute to the program, and volunteers are helping to pack the bags on Wednesday nights. First Baptist is in need of specific food items to contribute to these bags that go home with New Orleans children for the weekend, to ensure good nutrition is followed even when school lunches aren't available.
